Freedom is a state
But man made it a vote
When they let freedom ring
Only some heard the bell
It wasn’t meant to be acquired
Never meant to be lost
The lie we’ve been told
Is that it required a cost
Now up for debate
Is my freedom
And yours
We must vote for our freedom
We must vote to the door
Freedom is a state
But man made it a vote
Freedom should not come late
And neither should love
