Who I am without the white coat is as integral to my practice as a dermatologist as the textbooks and journals I read. Sharing my passion for knitting and birdwatching with my patients has enriched the time I spend with them. In addition to my practice, my work as a science communicator on Instagram, educating people about the science of skin, has been unexpectedly rewarding. There is an incredible community of people that value accurate, science-based knowledge and I feel lucky to be a part of it.

I recently became a mother to a beautiful baby girl. Motherhood, simultaneously gratifying and grueling, motivates me to be a better human and physician.

Ultimately, human connection is at the core of the practice of medicine. These are the things that motivate me to keep being the best physician and person I can be.
