I come from a very close-knit Indian family where the tradition, or shall I say the rule, is that we will have at least one meal in a day together. And, generally, that meal happened to be dinner. Mom and dad would be done with their offices and we (I and my elder brother) would be done with our school work. On the dinner table, we generally would talk about how our day was, while the news channels would be playing on the television in the background. Somehow, watching the newsreaders talk about the latest developments across the world always fascinated me. The more I watched, the more I became interested in experiencing different cultures and people. I have been fortunate enough to travel across different states in my culturally diverse country and make abroad trips to Paris, Austria, Germany, Thailand, Nepal. ⠀
