The privilege of wearing a white coat is something that I am learning more about each day and there is no greater honor than to be selected to work with others who, often times, are at their most vulnerable.

But who am I without my white coat?

I believe in the power of mentorship. Life can be stressful at times, but no journey is too long with good company. Paying homage to my many mentors that I have had along the way, I spend much of my free time working with students who are trying to find their way to medicine. Many of these students come from backgrounds similar to mine where they are the “first” in their family to pursue medicine, secondary education, and the like. This provides a connection to grow from and a strong foundation in which to plant seeds that anything is possible, even if you have never experienced it yourself. I am privileged to have met these students, and I learn more from them than they can ever know.

#withoutthewhitecoat I am many things with the most salient being a partner, son, brother, mentor, and friend. I am also an avid gamer with an intense competitive streak.
