Growing up, I would have never envisioned myself being where I am today, a PA who specializes in women’s health. Being from a traditional Palestinian family, I grew up with this mentality that everything women’s health, whether it be sexual health or periods, was very “taboo.” Identifying this barrier in medicine has made me very passionate about spending any extra time I have outside of work educating. Creating my platform on social media has been used solely as a safe space for other Arab American women, as well as other minorities/individuals who grew up with the same mindset and lack of understanding of their own bodies. I’ve always wanted to live my life making a difference in the lives of others, and through education, I have found my purpose and passion.
