The road to becoming a Physician Assistant has been nothing short of hard work. Being a medical provider has been a lifelong goal of mine, and there have been many ups and downs along the way. A few things have kept me grounded throughout the journey – most importantly, my family, fitness, and travels.
I am grateful for the strong support system I have in my life. Without them this already mentally and emotionally draining road to becoming a PA would be nearly impossible.
Whether you are a student or a working professional, I encourage you to find and solidify your support system and invest time in your passions and hobbies outside of the workplace. It is so important to keep your mind and body happy and healthy each and every day.
Everyone has their happy place, and for me, this tends to be the gym and cruising along the streets on my bike – or on the top of a mountain in New Zealand!
