Everyone needs an escape from their professional life. For some it’s blowing off some steam at the gym, others maybe it’s binge-watching their favorite TV series. For me, it’s a combination of things! I love hosting my friends for get-togethers, whether that means watching a football game, a homemade dinner, or a birthday/ engagement celebration! Baking also became a big hobby for me when I was young, so I’m always looking for a reason to bake cookies, cakes, cobblers, etc to bring a little happiness to people.

Like some people, my career isn’t my whole life- it’s certainly a big part, but I don’t want it to consume me. In fact, the biggest part of what defines me is my religion. I am a Christian. The principles of Christianity have shaped and molded me into the person I am, as I apply those principles of love, patience, friendship, empathy, etc to my everyday life. I have peace knowing I serve a God that loves me during my highs and lows. Surrounding myself with people who hold similar values, and honestly, even those who don’t share them has continued to strengthen my beliefs and really solidify what I treasure most dearly.

I found my identity in Jesus Christ. If that’s true for you, too, embrace it! Always find something that you believe in with your whole heart, do good, be kind, and the rest will fall into place!

#withoutthewhitecoat I am a Christian. A friend. A student. A baker. An adventurer. An optimist.
