About This Project

“For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a doctor. Acceptance to medical school was one of my greatest accomplishments but I soon realized I would not be able to make it through unless I made time to do the things that kept me balanced. First and foremost was to work out at least 3-4 times a week (running, weight lifting, yoga, and my recent new obsession Barrys Bootcamp). I adopted the 80/20 rule in terms of my diet. 80% of the time healthy (including meal prepping almost every week) and 20% whatever I want, which for me consists of ice cream, Nutella, and dark chocolate. I started painting and sketching again, a hobby that gives me so much peace and enjoyment. I also made sure to set time aside for travel: Iran (where I was born), Argentina, Turks and Caicos, Greece (pictured above), Canada, the Thousand Islands, California (my home state) and so many other smaller weekend trips. To top it all off, I kept up with doing fun water activities and made sure to have a crazy adrenaline rush every once in a while including skydiving and scuba diving!


Even if it seems impossible, make time to do the things that make you happy!
