“When I was 8 years old, I gained a huge interest in cooking. I spent many hours watching the food network, observing my mother in the kitchen, and finding recipes. Despite all of this, I didn’t do much cooking myself. That same year, my mother told me that we wouldn’t have Thanksgiving because my grandma couldn’t host. I saw this as an opportunity and asked my family to donate groceries. At 9 years old, I cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner. It was at this dinner that I shared my last meal with my Uncle.
Aside from sustaining us, I have come to see how significant food can be. It brings people together, cultivates memories, showcases cultures, and provides comfort.
#withoutthewhitecoat I am a food lover who enjoys trying new foods, cooking for others, and blogging recipes.”
